Introduction to Asana (Yoga Postures)  Instruction in fundamentals of body alignment through basic yoga poses that increase strength and flexibility.

Experienced Beginner Asana  For students who prefer to review the basics of Introduction to Asana.
Prerequisite: Introduction to Asana

Continuing Asana/Introduction to Pranayama  A continuation of the introductory course including pranayamic breathing exercises and recuperative poses every fourth week.
Prerequisite: Introduction to Asana

Advanced Asana/Pranayama   Prerequisite: Continuing Asana and a regular practice.

Asana for Women   An introductory class with emphasis on menses, pregnancy, post-natal, menopausal cycles, and instruction in women’s breast, pelvic, and bone health while learning the classic asanas.

Asana for Men  An introductory class with emphasis on creating flexibility, maintaining fitness for sports, reducing fatigue, and for prostate health.

Asana for Teens  For ages 12-17. Learn to direct and channel your energy.

Asana for Seniors  Emphasis on supported poses that increase mobility and strength of the neck, shoulders, spine, legs, and opening of the chest for optimal breathing.

Continuing Asana for Seniors  Prerequisite: Asana for Seniors.

Asana for Plus Size   An introductory class that adapts postures for large bodies.

Yoga Therapeutics  Consultation with the director required.* Individualized sequences of asana for structural, organic/hormonal, or emotional needs. Call for consultation appointment. Preference given to currently enrolled students. *Three absences without prior arrangement requires re-admission.

New! Yoga for Wellness  For Parkinson's or MS, experience safe, adapted postures and breathing exercises to enrich your life. Care partners welcome.

4-Week Short Courses: Lessen knee, low back, and/or neck & shoulder pain.

Intersession Classes   During the month of May when the C-U area "clears out" the Yoga Institute is on a reduced schedule. Sorry, no new students. During the month of August, the Yoga Institute is on vacation.
