Lois Steinberg, Ph.D, Director, holds an advanced level certification in the tradition of B.K.S Iyengar. This certificate has been awarded by Guruji to only nine practitioners in the US. Lois has 26 years practice, teaching, and an accumulated four years of total immersion at the Ramanani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India. Other highly trained teachers include Diana Fratila, Grace Giorgio, Rosemary Mathy, and Theresa Herman, and Shaw-Jiun Chalitios-Wang.

Rosemary Mathy, RN Rosemary has studied yoga for many years including study at the Institute since 1998. Rosemary teaches seniors and assists in the therapeutic classes. Rosemary has a degree in nursing, and has extensive experience teaching adults. She works in cancer prevention research. |

Ezzealdin Alhilou At the Ramamani Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune, India, Ezze was a student in the therapeutics class for a dislocated shoulder under the direct guidance of B.K.S. Iyengar and Geeta S. Iyengar. In 1994 he moved to Urbana where he continued his studies at the Institute and started teaching there in 2002. Ezze is the photographer for most of the photos in the therapeutic booklets and upcoming woman's yoga book produced by Lois Steinberg. |

Shaw-Jiun Chalitios-Wang Shaw has been practicing Iyengar yoga since 1996 and teaching in the Iyengar tradition since 1997. She has a degree in Art History and Anthropology. An Iyengar certified teacher, Shaw studied continuously with many Iyengar teachers and regards her yoga journey as the grounding force in her life. Originally from Taiwan and recently moved to Champaign-Urbana from Houston, Shaw has been yoking a yogi boy Maximillian since 1999. |
